Day 1 – Cairo → Bahariya Oasis (340 km)

Morning departure from your hotel in Cairo for a five-hour drive to Bahariya Oasis, an ancient depression once famed in Pharaonic times for its vineyards.

• Check-in at your hotel and enjoy lunch.

• Stroll among the oasis’ palm groves, olive trees, and traditional mud-brick houses.

• Swim in Kassaa Well, a natural hot spring with therapeutic properties.

• Explore the surroundings: the dunes and salt lake of Marron, a haven for migratory birds; the twin hills of Dest and Maghrafa, where dinosaur fossils were discovered.

• Climb the Black Mountain or English Mountain at sunset for panoramic views of the oasis.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 – The Black Desert, Crystal Mountain & Aqabat Valley

After breakfast, set off in a 4×4 for a day of discovery:

• The Black Desert, an otherworldly expanse of volcanic hills dusted with black basalt, offering dramatic lunar-like scenery.

• Climb Marsous Hill, covered in jasper, and Panorama Hill for sweeping desert views.

• Lunch and a swim in the hot springs of El Haize Oasis.

• Continue to the Crystal Mountain, a glittering natural arch filled with quartz veins, sparkling in the sun.

• Cross into the breathtaking Aqabat Valley, a vast amphitheater of cliffs and dunes scattered with “desert flowers,” black pyrite stones shaped by wind and sand.

Barbecue dinner and overnight in a desert bivouac beneath the stars.

Day 3 – Ain el-Serw & The White Desert

Wake to the silence of the desert and breakfast outdoors.

• Morning hike in Aqabat before visiting Ain el-Serw, the mysterious “magic spring” that flows only when approached by people or animals.

• Continue to the White Desert, a dazzling landscape of chalk formations sculpted by erosion into surreal shapes: mushrooms, towers, and sphinxes rising from golden sands.

• Witness an unforgettable sunset, when the white rocks glow with changing colors.

Barbecue dinner and overnight in a bivouac under the desert sky.

Day 4 – White Desert → Cairo

Breakfast in the morning light of this dreamlike landscape.
After a short walk to savor the last views, drive back across the desert and return to Cairo in the afternoon
